Who you would be working with

Small on purpose. You talk to the people building it.

Normal View is Micah and Joel. There is no account manager between you and the person writing the code, and no junior team the work quietly gets handed to after the pitch. That is the trade: we cannot take on everything, and what we do take on, we do ourselves.

Micah

Since 2010 · Software and delivery

Started in IT and software in 2010, and moved to software services proper in 2014. The through-line since then has been the same: get in, work out what is actually wrong, and build the smallest thing that fixes it.

That has meant finance, B2B, e-commerce, marketing, manufacturing, automotive, video gaming, medical, sports, aviation, and a few more besides. The specific domain changes; the shape of the problem rarely does.

Enjoys solving puzzles and sharing stories in this journey called life.

Joel

Since 2008 · Strategy and client work

In and around business systems since 2008 — transportation, logistics, CRM, broadcasting, sales, marketing, and a long tail of things that do not fit a category.

What he actually does on an engagement is harder to put in a job title: he broadens the thinking on whatever a client has brought to us. The stated problem is often a symptom, and the useful conversation is usually one level up from where it started.

What that means in practice

How we work

Small first

When you need wiper blades you don't need four tires and a brake job. We scope the smallest useful thing, ship it, and earn the next one.

Assessment before build

We look at your data and your systems before quoting the thing you asked for. It is routinely not the thing you needed, and finding that out early is cheap.

Your cloud, your data

We deploy into your tenant. You own the infrastructure and the credentials. Nothing routes through us, and nothing stops working if you stop working with us.

We will tell you no

If the work is a multi-quarter rebuild, or you are not ready to build anything yet, you will hear that on the first call rather than in month three.

Next step

Start with a conversation

The first call is one of us, not a salesperson, and it is usually enough to tell whether there is a real project here.

No pitch deck, no sales process. 30 minutes to work out whether this is worth doing.
